About the WAWCA

The Wisconsin Association of Worker's Compensation Attorneys, Inc., is a membership organization of attorneys who practice in Wisconsin and who have a special interest in worker's compensation law.  The membership also includes administrative law judges of the Worker's Compensation Division, DWD.   


WAWCA is organized as a non-profit corporation.   WAWCA exists to serve the public interest by fostering and promoting educational opportunities for the general public (including Wisconsin employees, employers and insurers), as well as members of the Association itself on topics relating to Wisconsin workers compensation law.

Association Districts consist of the following Wisconsin Counties:

District 1: Douglas, Bayfield, Burnett, Washburn, Sawyer, Ashland, Iron, Polk, Barron, Rusk, Price & Taylor, as well as out-of-state members.

District 2: Vilas, Oneida, Forest, Florence, Lincoln, Langlade, Marathon, Wood & Portage.

District 3: Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Shawano, Waupaca, Outagamie, Waushara, Winnebago & Fond du Lac.

District 4: Brown, Kewanee, Door, Calumet, Manitowoc & Sheboygan.

District 5: St. Croix, Dunn, Eau Claire, Clark, Pierce, Pepin, Buffalo & Jackson.

District 6: Trempealeau, La Crosse, Monroe, Vernon, Juneau, Crawford, Richland & Grant.

 NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING
AND ELECTION OF
DIRECTORS & OFFICERS

The Annual Meeting of the general membership of the Wisconsin Association of Worker’s Compensation Attorneys will be held during the Summer Seminar on July 26, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at the Marriott Madison West, 1313 John Q Hammons Drive, Middleton, WI. Elections will be held for the position of Director for Districts 5, 7, and 9.

District 5 is currently served by Melissa Kirschner and covers the counties of St. Croix, Dunn, Eau Claire, Clark, Pierce, Pepin, Buffalo, and Jackson. Melissa Kirschner has indicated a strong interest in serving another term.

District 7 is currently served by Charles Soule and covers the counties of Adams, Marquette, Green Lake, Sauk, Columbia, Dodge, Iowa, Lafayette, Dane, and Jefferson. Charles Soule’s final consecutive term ends this year to this will be an open seat. Nominations are currently being sought for this district.

District 9 is currently served by Dennis Wicht and covers the counties of Washington, Ozaukee, Waukesha, and Milwaukee. Dennis Wicht has expressed a strong interest in serving another term.

Mark Parman has served as President-Elect in 2012 and has agreed to serve as President in 2013. Krysta Walsh is the current Treasurer and the current Secretary is Chelsie Allan. Both have agreed to serve an additional one year term. Additionally, Charles Domer has agreed to accept a nomination as President-Elect. Therefore, the nominations for the 2013 positions are as follows: President: Mark Parman; President-Elect: Charles Domer; Treasurer: Krysta Walsh; Secretary: Chelsie Allan; Past President: Mark McGillis.

All District Directors and Officers elected at the July 26, 2012, Annual Meeting will begin their terms for the calendar year 2013 on January 1, 2013.
